Alice Tak, MA, AMFT 150291
Alice Tak is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist who earned her Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pepperdine University. Her clinical experience includes working with a wide range of age groups including children, adolescents, young adults, couples and families.
Alice emphasizes the importance of working alongside each client, understanding their values and beliefs and goals in therapy, to create a space for clients to truly feel safe and thrive. She has a passion for working with challenges such as depression and anxiety, addictions, self-esteem issues, eating disorders, social anxiety, trauma and grief. Based on a client’s needs and request, she offers Christian-based counseling as well.
Alice’s professional practice emphasizes the importance of working from a holistic perspective, understanding that each client has unique needs and interest as well as goals in therapy. A central part of her approach to therapy is utilizing evidence-based therapy practices and integrating behavioral approaches to treatment including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). She believes that hope and power to overcome any adversity is available to anyone who is willing to put in the work with the right support.
