
Dr. Erin Connaughton completed her graduate studies with the California School of Professional Psychology at Alliant International University earning her a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (Psy.D.). She has completed all of her training hours and is currently registered as a Psychological Assistant with the Board of Psychology and is working toward her full licensure status. With over 13 years of experience in the mental health field. Dr. Connaughton is committed to providing compassionate and evidence-based care. She works with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families, offering a broad and inclusive clinical practice.
Dr. Connaughton specializes in treating trauma, personality disorders, mood disorders, substance use and addiction, and is neurodiversity-affirming. Her therapeutic approach is grounded in psychodynamic theory, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and family systems work, allowing her to tailor interventions to meet the unique needs of each client. Dr. Connaughton is also has training as a skilled evaluator using various assessment and psychological testing tools, which help to provide comprehensive evaluations to support diagnostic clarity and treatment planning.
Dr. Connaughton is a firm believer that the challenges we face in life can be an opportunity for significant personal growth and gaining strength to endure and overcome these challenges, as well as, to transform us into stronger individuals. As a therapist, she sees her work as a gift to walk alongside her clients who are ready to invest in their self-care and self-love.
