Kimberley Dorantes or “Kim” is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. She earned her Master’s degree from California State University, Dominguez Hills in Clinical Psychology with a focus on Marriage and Family Studies. She has been in practice as a therapist for 19 years. Her clinical experience includes working with children in play therapy, adults and teens in individual therapy, and couples and families in family therapy. Kim’s theoretical approach integrates client-centered therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, and family systems therapy.

Kim focuses on providing a safe therapeutic environment where clients can openly explore the relationships, feelings, and behaviors that may be the source of their distress. Kim then supports and guides her clients to reach their goals and make the desired changes in their lives. She works with a variety of issues but takes a special interest in anxiety, OCD, depression (specifically post-partum depression), trauma, family conflict, relationship and marriage issues, and communication issues. Upon request, Kim provides Christian counseling.
