Kimberly is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who works with individuals, couples, families, children and adolescents. She earned her Master’s Degree in 2014 from John F. Kennedy University and has worked as a clinical counselor for over six years. She has experience with anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, stress management, substance abuse, parenting, phase of life and adjustment disorders, assertiveness and communication, early childhood issues, grief and loss, anger management, crisis and trauma interventions, and co-morbid diagnoses. Additionally she has experience with interpersonal relationship issues such as family conflict, work conflict and relationship/spousal issues.
Her approach is client centered, focusing on each individual’s needs and goals. She incorporates each individual’s strengths and aids the client to build upon them. She also uses Mindfulness Techniques, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Existential Therapy and Strategic Therapies to assist the client in attaining their goal and to experience positive growth. Kimberly believes that the therapy experience should be non-threatening and non-judgmental. Short and long term therapy can be provided, with long term therapy focusing on deeper issues and struggles.
