CHRISTOPHER PLANT, PHD, PSY 32763

Dr. Plant received his PhD in Clinical Psychology from the University of Nevada Las Vegas and completed his internship and post-doctoral training at Loma Linda University School of Medicine. He has experience in a variety of clinical and research settings including integrated behavioral health in primary care and specialty medicine, private practice, Veteran Affairs (VA), juvenile justice, substance abuse, geriatrics, psychiatric inpatient, faith-based clinics/hospitals and performance centers. Dr. Plant specializes in evidence-based treatments, emphasizing Process-Based Therapy (Hayes and Hofmann) which is currently at the cutting edge of the field including the modern iterations of Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), for a range of presenting concerns across the lifespan.
He emphasizes the principles of whole-person care and the integration of faith into treatment. He has authored a book titled, Freedom from Anxiety and Worry: A Guided Journey to Christ-Centered Change, and coauthored 16 peer-reviewed scientific publications related to the advancement of evidence-based treatments in the field of clinical psychology. Dr. Plant places importance on the value of faith and science to offer guidance that is both clinically sound and spiritually attuned.
Dr. Plant uses a warm and compassionate approach to tailor treatment services to his patient’s individual needs and assists in mobilizing them towards their personal goals and values. He emphasizes an action-oriented perspective to support change, recovery and thriving in daily life.
Outside of his professional work, Dr. Plant enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, reading, and engaging in outdoor activities.
