Dr. Plant received his PhD in Clinical Psychology from the University of Nevada Las Vegas and completed his internship and post-doctoral training at Loma Linda University School of Medicine.
His professional experience includes work in a variety of clinical and research settings. A few special areas of training include: integration of mental health and well-being in medical primary care and physician specialty practice settings, outpatient psychological private practice, Veteran Affairs (VA), juvenile justice, substance abuse, child welfare, and psychological services working with seniors and elderly, collegiate athletes and sports psychology, and working within university/community clinics.

Dr. Plant uses a warm and compassionate style to tailor treatment services to his patient’s individual needs and assists in mobilizing them towards their personal goals and values. He emphasizes an action-oriented perspective to support change, recovery and thriving in daily life. He incorporates the use of evidence-based therapies and treatments including cognitive and behavioral therapy. His training and special areas of interest also include the integration of faith and psychological health and well-being.

As a published author, he has coauthored 16 peer-reviewed scientific publications related to the advancement of evidence-based treatments in the field of clinical psychology. More popularized in recent years is the increasing awareness and importance of the whole person in therapy, including the integration of psychology and spirituality. Recently, he published a book titled, Freedom from Anxiety and Worry: A Guided Journey to Christ-Centered Change.

When he is not working, He spends time with his family and enjoys fly fishing and other outdoor activities.
