Judithann Roberts, MA, LMFT 43186

Judithann obtained her Master’s Degree from Loyola Marymount University with emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy. Additionally, she is a registered Art Therapist, which is often a very useful way of helping individuals to both express and process emotions, life events and traumas. Judithann brings into her work with clients a great passion for her work and has integrated art therapy based on each individual’s needs and interests. An area of particular interest in her professional career is also working with individuals and families who are in the process of going through an Adoption or may have been adopted.  She too understands this process personally as an adopted parent. She has trained and worked with adopted and foster children and families also having co-facilitated Incredible Years Parenting classes and trained in Theraplay, and attachment.

The beginning of a therapy process starts with the relationship between a person (you) and other (therapist.). My job as therapist is to be present with you, listen deeply and offer compassion and unconditional regard. Being heard, I mean deeply heard and seen for who we really are, is a gift. A gift, I value, and find personally meaningful.

Other important things that happen in therapy can be: developing skills to improve life (including conflict resolution), discovering resources that improve quality of life and recovery from developmental trauma, substance abuse, domestic violence and exposure to violence in the community. Each journey is individual, unique and worthwhile.

Finally, it is a great gift to me, and I feel honored to be part of each individual client’s (child, adult, couple, family) life.

I am accepting clients in Irvine and Yorba Linda.
